About Friends of Hurworth Primary

Friends of Hurworth Primary School is a registered charity supporting the pupils and school community of Hurworth Primary School in Hurworth, Darlington.

We are run by charity trustees and supported by parents, carers, school staff, volunteers and members of the wider local community.

Our purpose is to advance the education of pupils at Hurworth Primary School by developing relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school, and by supporting activities, facilities and equipment that enhance pupils’ education and school experience.

Through fundraising, events and community support, we help provide additional resources and opportunities for children at the school.

Charitable objects

The object of the Association (the Objects) is to advance the education of pupils in the school, in particular by:

2.1 Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.

2.2 Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
